I'm Rob Recio. I moved to Ocean Springs from California in March 2005 — five months before Hurricane Katrina pretty much wiped our house off the map. We stayed. Twenty years later, the Coast is home, and Carla and I are raising Drake and Quinn here.
Real estate isn't my first stop. I came to Mississippi to build a better life and ended up building businesses instead. That same year I bought Chandeleur Outfitters, ran it for sixteen years, opened a second location at Edgewater Mall, and sold it in 2021. Along the way I built a tax franchise to over 700 clients and started Zoofari, a motorized animal scooter operation that grew to eight locations in malls nationwide.
What twenty years of operating on the Coast taught me is what makes this place work — the neighborhoods, the schools, the small operators, the rhythm of summer and storm season, and what people are really looking for when they say they want to live on the Coast.
Now I'm bringing that local know-how into real estate. I've joined Real Broker, LLC and I'm finishing my Mississippi license. When it's in hand, I'll be here to help you buy or sell. Until then — let's talk, get to know each other, get you ready.
